Fried Buns / Cream Buns

Fried buns or bakery style cream buns are very easy to make at home without oven. Try this simple and easy recipe and leave your valuable Feedback's here in the comment box.

  1. Flour (maida)-2cup
  2. Yeast-1 1/2 tsp
  3. Sugar-2 tsp
  4. Egg-1 large 
  5. Warm water-about 1/2 cup
  6. Ghee / soften butter-1 tbsp
  7. Salt-1/2 tsp
  8. Whipped cream-to apply on buns (or butter cream)
  • In bowl mix warm water with yeast and sugar.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes
  • In another mixing bowl, add flour,egg,ghee and salt.
  • Add yeast water in to it and knead a smooth and soft dough (add little more water if necessary).
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  • After that knead the dough once again and divide them to 8 equal bun shaped balls.
  • Place them on a well greased tray. Cover it and rest for another 30 minutes.
  • Heat a pan with oil (enough for deep frying).
  • Once a its hot make the flame to low.
  • Fry the bums on low flame until nice golden ( it may took 15-20minutes to get fried). If the flame is high, the inner side of buns not get cooked.
  • After frying all the buns cover it with a cloth and allow to cools down completely.
  • Cut them in to halves and apply cream on center.
  • Serve and enjoy!
