 Pav Bhaji in Pressure Cooker
Pav Bahji is a popular North Indian street food. A spicy curry with mixed vegetables are cooked in a delicious masala blend is served along with toasted pav buns. Here is the recipe of quick and instant Mumbai style Pav bhaji. Try it out and it's undoubtedly yum!
Ingredients:
  1. Butter- 1/4 cup 
  2. Onion chopped thinly-1 cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  4. Chopped vegetables-3 cup (bell pepper, cauliflower, potato, carrot, beans and green peas).
  5. Chat masala powder-3 tbsp
  6. Salt-to taste
  7. Pav buns-5
Preparation:
  • Heat a pressure cooker with 2 tbsp of butter.
  • Add onions and saute until soften.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute a minute.
  • Add all the chopped vegetables, chat masala powder and salt.
  • Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook on high-medium flame for 10 whistles.
  • Open the lid only after completely releases the pressure.
  • Mash them well with a masher or ladle.
  • Add more hot water to adjust a thick gravy consistency; boil and turn off heat.
  • Toast the buns in butter by adding little bhaji masala.
  • Serve hot by garnishing on top with a dollop of butter and some coriander leaves.
