Mushrooms are coated with delicious spice batter and then deep fried until crispy. Coat them with sweet and spicy sauce. Mushroom 65 is an easy and quick tea time delight or side dish for your paratha's or even rice. Try this easiest method of making mushroom 65 and you won't be disappointed.

Here is the recipe details of making the lovely vegetarian treat mushroom 65:
  1. Mushrooms-10-15 numbers (medium sized)
  2. Besan flour- 1/4 cup
  3. Rice flour- 1/4 cup
  4. Baking soda- 1/4 tsp (optional)
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
  7. Kashmiri red chilli powder-1 tbsp
  8. Oil-for deep frying
  9. Sugar-1/2 tsp
  10. Thinly chopped garlic-1 tbsp
  11. Chopped green chilli-3 
  12. Curry leaves-3 springs
  13. Tomato sauce-2 tbsp
  14. Sweet chilli sauce-2 tbsp
  • In a bowl mix beasan flour, rice flour, baking sda, salt and red chilli powder; mix well.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and little water to make a smooth and thick batter.
  • Add the mushrooms in to it and coat well.
  • Drop them in to hot oil and deep fry until nice and crisp.
  • Drain it from the oil and keep aside.
  • Keep 1 tbsp of oil in the same pan and add sugar; mix well.
  • Add chopped garlic and saute until golden in colour.
  • Add 
  • green chilly and curry leaves; mix well.
  • Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce and little salt.
  • Cook for a minute and add the deep fried mushrooms.
  • Mix well and turn off the heat.
  • Serve soon for crispy and saucy mushroom bites!!
