Zebra Cake

 The alternative layers of chocolate and vanilla forms delicious stripes of zebra cake. Zebra cake resembles marble cake but the patterns are different. You can whip it up with a chocolate frosting or simply serve with a cup of milk or juice. Try this easy and delicious fun cake and happy baking!

  1. Flour-2 cup
  2. Cocoa powder- 1/4  cup
  3. Baking powder- 1 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt-1/4 tsp
  5. Granulated sugar-1 cup
  6. Eggs-2
  7. Butter soften- 1/2 cup
  8. Vanilla extract-2 tbsp
  9. Milk- 1 1/2 cup
  • Pre-heat the oven in to 180 degree and grease a cake pan.
  • Mix flour, baking powder and salt; sieve it for twice. Keep aside.
  • Beat butter and sugar until creamy, light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one by one followed by vanilla extract. (beat each egg for 30 seconds or until mixed well.)
  • Add half of the flour in to it and beat on low mode for few seconds.(or stir combine with a ladle)
  • Add milk and mix well.
  • Add remaining flour and mix until well combined.
  • Divide the batter in to half.
  • Mix of the bowl with cocoa powder and stir well until combined.
  • In the cake pan drop 2 tbsp of vanilla cake batter and allow to spread itself.
  • Then Drop 2 tbsp of cocoa batter in the center and allow it to spread.
  • Add vanilla batter again followed by cocoa batter alternatively until the batter finishes.
  • Without shaking the pan; place it inside the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until top gets nice golden in color
  • Cool on a wire and serve with a cup of milk!
