Ghee Biscuits
Ghee Biscuits are classic Indian melt in mouth cookies. The recipe almost similar to Nan Khatai but with slight change. The different colors gives a nice party effect but you may omit it if you don't want.
Ingredients:
- Flour-100 gm
- Milk powder-50 gm
- Powdered sugar- 150 gm
- Ghee-150 gm (soften; room temp)
- Vanilla essence- 1/4 tsp
- Baking powder- 1/4 tsp
- Food colors-pink, yellow and green
Preparation:
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper or grease it.
- Pre-heat the oven in 180 degree for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl mix powdered sugar with soften ghee; mix well with a ladle until creamy
- Add all the other ingredients together and make a soft and smooth dough.
- Divide the dough in to three or four equal parts.
- Mix one with a drop of yellow food color; mix well and make smooth dough.
- Mix the another two bowls with pink a green; the last one remains white.
- Make small balls out of the dough and place them in baking tray by one inch part. (it slightly flattens after baking)
- Bake it for about 20 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack and serve!!!
