Stuffed Chilly Pakora
Stuffed Chilly Pakora is a lovely bite for the teatime or as a ifthar snack. You can fill them with the choice of your favorite filling. Here i used a simple vegetable stuffing.
Ingredients:
- Long Chilly-6 no's
- Oil-1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Thinly chopped onion-1 small
- Thinly chopped ginger-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Boiled Potato-1 large
- Coriander leaves chopped-1 tbsp
- Oil-for deep frying
- Besan flour- 1/2 cup
- Rice Flour-1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Chilly powder-1 tsp
- Hing-a pinch
- Salt-little
Preparation:
- Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan; splutter cumin seeds.
- Add thinly chopped onion and ginger; saute for two minutes.
- Add all the powders and mix well.
- Add mashed boiled potato and coriander leaves.
- Mix well and switch off the flame. Allow to cool completely.
- Wash the chillies and wipe them with a kitchen towel.
- Make a sharp slit on the chilly using a knife. Take out all the inner seeds.
- Stuff the a part of potato stuffing inside the chilly as possible.
- Stuff all the chilies and keep aside.
- In a large bow mix all the ingredients for the batter.
- Add water little by little and make a thick batter (thick but flowing).
- Dip the stuffed chillies in prepared batter and drop them to hot oil one by one.
- Fry until nice golden and drain in to paper towels.
- Serve hot and with tea and enjoy!!!
