Paneer Jalfrezi

Paneer or cottage cheese is a satisfying vegetarian choice. Making homemade paneer is quite easy and simple. Check out how to prepare homemade PANEER. Paneer jalfrezi is an easy and delicious paneer gravy paired well with basmati rice and paratha.

  1. Oil-1 1/2 tbsp
  2. Cumin seeds-1 tsp
  3. Paneer cubes-200 gm
  4. Onion-1 cubed
  5. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  6. Green chilly slit-2 nos
  7. Tomato-two large
  8. Turmeric powder-a pinch
  9. Kashmiri red chilly powder-1 tbsp
  10. Amchoor powder- 1/4 tsp
  11. Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
  12. Salt-to taste
  13. Kasoori methi dried-1 tsp
  14. Chopped coriander leaves-1 tbsp
  15. Chopped green bell pepper- 1/4 cup
  16. Chopped red bell pepper-1/4 cup
  • Cook tomatoes in boiling water for 5 minutes. After cools down; peel its skin and add in to the blender.
  • Make smooth puree out of it and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan; splutter cumin seeds.
  • Add cubed onions and saute for a minute.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and green chilly; saute until raw smell goes off.
  • Add all the powders and mix well.
  • Add tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes in low flame.
  • Then add 1/4 cup of hot water and chopped bell pepper; cook for a minute.
  • Add paneer cubes and mix well for a minute.
  • Add crushed kasoori methi and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Switch off the flame and serve hot....
