Chicken 65 Gravy
Chicken 65 is a lovely starter for most of the non-vegetarians. Then what about making a gravy with it. Chicken 65 gravy is an amazing combo of fried chicken pieces immersed in a delicious gravy. Try it for the special occasions and make your dine royal. Check out my chicken 65 recipe for the dry version.
Ingredients to Marinate:
- Chicken- 1/2 kg
- Ginger garlic paste-1 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Kashmiri chilly powder-1 tbsp
- Cumin powder- ½ tsp
- Pepper powder-1tsp
- Egg-1 (optional)
- Corn flour-2 tbsp
- Salt-to taste
- Lemon juice-1 tbsp
- Marinate chicken with all other ingredients for overnight or at least 5 hours.
- Deep fry it in 2 tbsp's of oil until nicely fried (don't do over fry; it makes the chicken harden)..
- Keep aside.
- Oil-1 tbsp
- Thinly chopped ginger-1 tsp
- Thinly chopped garlic-1 tsp
- Thinly chopped green chilly-1 tsp
- Thinly chopped onion-1 large
- Kashmiri chilly powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Thinly sliced capsicum-1 small
- Tomato puree- of two large tomatoes (boil tomato for two 5 minutes; after cools down peel its skin and add in to a blender to make smooth puree)
- Fresh cream- 1/2 cup (Or less)
- Coriander leaves chopped-1 tbsp
- Heat oil in the chicken fried pan; add ginger, garlic, green chilly; saute for a minute.
- Add onions and saute until transparent.
- Add kashmiri chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder; mix well.
- Add tomato puree and slow cook until thickens. (about 3 minutes)
- Add fresh cream and salt.
- Add fried chicken pieces and coriander leaves.
- Mix for two minutes and switch off the flame.
- Cover the lid tightly for 15 minutes and serve!!!
