Cheesy Potato Cutlet

Cheese stuffed potato cutlet's are a delightful starter for all time. It is simple easy to make and tastes delicious. Try this tummy filling mildly spicy cheesy cutlets for your ifthar  and enjoy the great taste.

  1. Potato- 1/4 kg (two large)
  2. Thinly chopped onion-1 large
  3. Thinly chopped ginger-1 tbsp
  4. Thinly chopped green chilly-1 tbsp
  5. Thinly chopped curry leaves-1 tbsp
  6. Thinly chopped coriander leaves-1 tbsp
  7. Pepper powder-1 tsp (or more)
  8. Salt-to taste
  9. Garam masala powder-1 tsp
  10. Grated mozzarella cheese- 3/4 cup
  11. Bread crums- 1/2 cup
  12. Corn flour-3 tbsp
  13. Oil-for shallow frying
  • Pressure cooks the washed potatoes by adding little salt and water for 4 whistles or until cooked well.
  • After cools down completely drain it; peel it's skin and mash them well without any lumps.
  • Mix the mashed potatoes with ingredients from 2-9. 
  • Mix well and divide them in to large balls.
  • Take a ball in your palm; flatten it and add a part(half the lemon size ball) of mozzarella on center. Cover the cheese with potato mix, and shape it again like a ball.
  • Flatten them gently to form a patty.
  • Prepare all the cutlets in this way.
  • Now take bread crumbs in a wide bowl. in another bowl; mix cornflour with 1/4 cup of water.
  • Dip the prepared patty in cornflour water and them coat it with the bread crumbs.
  • Once again dip it in the cornflour batter and coat bread crumbs (double coating).
  • Shallow fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
  • Drain in to paper towels and serve hot.
