Almond and Dates Burfi

 Almond and dates burfi is an absolutely delicious and healthy sweet to enjoy even after fasting. Try this quick and easy recipe at home; both kids and elders enjoy it. You can add any other chopped nuts along with almond to make a mixed nuts burfi.
Ingredients:
  1. Finely chopped almonds-1 cup
  2. Finely chopped dates-1 cup
  3. Powdered almond-1/2 cup
  4. Milk powder- 1/4 cup
  5. Butter- 1/4 cup
  6. Sweetened condensed milk- 1/2 tin
  7. Milk- 1/2 cup
Preparation:
  • Heat butter in a pan; when it melts add chopped dates and almonds.
  • Saute for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • Add milk powder, almond powder, milk and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Stir well and cook on low flame until thickens (10-15 minutes).
  • Switch off the flame and transfer in to a greased plate and flatten as 1/2 inch  thick bar.
  • Allow to cool for an hour or refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
  • Using a sharp knife cut them in to small squares and enjoy!!!
