Banana Kheer


Kheer is a popular Indian thick milk based sweet dessert. You can make it with lots and lots of variations.You can check out my Kheer recipes that i have posted before. Here is another creamy and rich kheer recipe using Kerala Large Banana's. You can replace it with robest banana if only Kerala Banana is not available.
Ingredients:
  1. Kerala Large Banana-3 
  2. Ghee-2 tbsp
  3. Jaggery melted-1 cup
  4. Thick coconut milk- 500 ml
  5. Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
  6. Fried cashew-to garnish
Preparation:
  • Peel the skin on banana and discard its tiny black inner seeds (long thread also).
  • Puree the banana pieces in a blender to smooth paste.
  • Heat ghee in a pan; add the banana puree and saute on low flame for about 10 minutes until gets thicken.
  • Then add jaggery syrup and stir cook for another few minutes until all the syrup gets absorbed.
  • Add coconut milk and mix well.
  • When the kheer starts thickening; switch off the flame by adding cardamom powder.
  • Add in to serving bowls and garnish on top with fried nuts.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!!!
