Square Paratha

Are you always bored with the normal paratha for dinner ? Try this square paratha having little flakes and loaded with ghee. The preparations are very simple like normal paratha in addition with some ghee. Roll it like normal paratha and then top it with ghee, fold it like squares and again roll it. Always serve warm or hot paratha's for great taste.
Ingredients:
  1. Wheat flour-2 cup +dusting
  2. Salt-to taste
  3. Hot water-to knead
  4. Ghee- 1/4 cup
Preparation:
  • In a mixing bowl; add flour and salt; Add hot water little by little and knead a soft and smooth dough.
  • (Cover and rest the dough for 30 minutes for best results. but it is optional).
  • Divide the dough in to small equal balls.
  • Take a ball and roll it in a rolling board by spreading flour in to a large circle.
  • Now add 1-2 teaspoons of ghee evenly on top of the rolled circle.
  • Above that sprinkle little flour.
  • Now fold the two sides of rolled paratha in to the centre; Fold the another two sides also in to the centre to form like a square.
  • Prepare all the squares in this way.
  • Take a square in to the rolling board; sprinkle flour on top and gently roll it again the four sides equally to form a big square. (the rolled squares are little thicker than normal paratha)
  • Heat a pan and cook the square paratha on both sides until nicely golden. While cooking; press well all the sides with ladle and spread a teaspoon of ghee on both sides.
  • Serve soon with the choice of your curry or raitha.

Note:
You can use All purpose flour (maida) instead of wheat flour.
