Whole Wheat Carrot Cake on Stovetop

All the cakes can be made on stove top  easily with the help of a suitable pan  (or pressure cooker) that occupies the baking pan. The pan must have a tight lid with narrow steam escaping hole. Here is a delicious, healthy and moist carrot cake recipe made on stove top with easy preparation steps.
  1. Whole wheat flour- 1 1/2 cup
  2. Baking powder-1 tsp 
  3. Baking soda-1 tsp
  4. Powdered Sugar-1 cup
  5. Cinnamon powder- 1/2 tsp
  6. Egg-2 large
  7. Milk- 1/4 cup
  8. Carrot grated thinly- 1 1/2 cup
  9. Oil- 3/4 cup (sun flower / canola)
  10. Vanilla essence-1 tsp
  11. Salt-a pinch
  • Grease a baking tray with oil and sprinkle flour in it.
  • Place the baking tray inside the cooking pan )or pressure cooker and heat it on simmer flame until the batter gets ready (pre-heating process).
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until creamy. beat only only for about a minute (or less than a minute) until just mixed well, no need the batter to be fluffy.
  • Add all the other ingredients in to it and mix well with a ladle or by beating for another a minute until completely mix up the batter without any lumps.
  • Take out the pre-heated baking tray from the pan carefully.
  • Pour the batter in it and give  a tap to reduce the air bubbles.
  • Put it back inside the pan; and cook on low flame for about 1 hour (or 1 1/4 hour) until the top of the cake gets completely dried; or insert a skewer and check whether it comes out clean.
  • Remold after completely cools down.
  • Do your favorite icing on top, chill for an hour and serve!!!
For The Chocolate Ganache on Top:
  1. Fresh cream- 1/4 cup
  2. Cocoa powder-2 tbsp
  3. Sweetened condensed milk-3 tbsp
  4. Butter-1 tbsp
  • Heat all the ingredients in a  pan on low flame until just mixed well and creamy.
  • Pour it over the cake and Garnish on top with sliced nuts.
