Nellikka Chammanthi / Amla(Gooseberry)Chutney

 Even it is tangy in taste; no one deny for a gooseberry. It's loaded with vitamins and lots of medicinal benefits. Here is a spicy and delicious side dish for rice using gooseberry.
Ingredients:
  1. Gooseberry- 5 numbers
  2. Small onion-4 numbers
  3. Green chilly ( preferably bird's eye chilly)- as per taste 
  4. Salt-to taste
Preparation:
  • Wash and chop the gooseberry in to small pieces (avoiding its seed).
  • Add it in a blender ( preferably in a mortar pestle stone) along with chopped onions, salt and green chilly.
  • Make a coarse paste out of it. Check for salt and serve it with your rice.
