Butter Paneer Masala

Butter paneer masala is one of the most popular North Indian vegetarian main course. It is a finger licking curry that goes well with any type of parathas or even plain rice. Check here for easy homemade paneer recipe: PANEER.
Ingredients:
  1. Paneer-250 gm
  2. Butter-4 tbsp
  3. Onion-1 large
  4. Tomato-4 large
  5. Ginger Garlic crushed-1 tbsp
  6. Chopped green chilly-2 or 3 nos
  7. Kashmiri chilly powder-1 tbsp
  8. Coriander powder-1 tbsp
  9. Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
  10. Fresh cream- 1/2 cup
  11. Salt-to taste
  12. Kasoori methi (dried and crushed)- 2 tsp
Preparation:
  • Heat a non-stick pan with a tablespoon of butter.
  • In the same pan saute chopped
  • Saute the paneer cubes on both sides  till slightly golden n color. (don't over cook) Keep it aside.
  • In the same pan saute chopped onion (add butter if needed) and saute until transparent.
  • Cook the tomatoes in boiling water for 5 minutes. After that drain the water; wash again with cold water; and peel of the skin of tomatoes. Blend tomatoes along with the sauted onions to  a smooth puree. Keep it aside.
  • Heat a pan with remaining butter add ginger garlic crushed.
  • Add pureed tomato onion mix, chilly powder and coriander powder.
  • Cover cooks it for about 15 minutes on lox flame.
  • After that add green chilly, fresh cream and salt along with a cup of water.
  • Cook for another until the gravy starts thickens.
  • Add paneer cubes,  kasoori methi and garam masala powder. Mix well for a minute and switch off the flame.
  • Add in to serving bowls and garnish on top  with swirls of fresh cream.
