Methi Chicken Stir Fry

Methi chicken stir fry is a simple and delicious stir fried chicken recipe. Methi leaves give a nice taste to most of the chicken recipes.  The combination of chicken with methi is great. The aroma and taste of methi leaves makes the curry finger licking.
  1. Chicken- ½ kg
  2. Vinegar-1 tbsp
  3. Salt-to taste
  4. Onion-one thinly chopped
  5. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  6. Green chilly slit-1 or 2
  7. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  8. Kashmiri chilly powder-2 tsp (or use 1 tsp normal chilly powder)
  9. Coriander powder- 1 ½ tbsp
  10. Oil-2 tbsp
  11. Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  12. Methi leaves (fresh or dried) – ½ cup
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients from 2 to 9 for two hours in fridge.
  • Heat oil in a  pan; Add marinated chicken pieces and two tablespoons of water.
  • Cover cooks the pan for about 20 minutes (stir occasionally).
  • After that add methi leaves and slit green chilly; mix well; cooks for another five minutes.
  • Add garam masala powder and few pieces of onion for garnishing.
  • Switch off the flame and serve hot with a piece of lemon wedge!!!
