Masala Biscuit / Spicy Cookies
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour- 1 1/2 cup
- Butter / Ghee softened (room temp)- 1/2 cup
- Baking powder- 3/4 tsp
- Salt- to taste (almost 3/4 tsp)
- Powdered Sugar-2 tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
- Thinly chopped curry leaves- 1/2 tsp
- Thinly chopped coriander leaves- 1/2 tsp
- Thinly chopped green chilly- 1/2 tsp
- Crushed ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
- Black sesame seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Thick Curd-1 tbsp (or little less)
- Oil-1 tbsp
- In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients. Flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, garam masala and pepper powder.
- Add butter in to it and mix well like bread crumbs.
- Then add chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilly, ginger garlic crushed and sesame seeds; mix well by crumbling it.
- Add curd little by little to make a hard dough consistency.
- Knead it well and keep the cookie tray ready by greasing it.
- Make small portions from the dough and shape it like a cookie. (Don't make too thick, then the cookie will be chewy texture, not crisp... instead make thin cookies).
- Make all the cookies and arrange it on the tray.
- Brush little oil on top of each cookie.
- Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree (350 F) for about 20 minutes or top gets nicely colored.
