Gobi Methi Curry

An easy and unique tasted curry using cauliflower seasoned with methi leaves!
Ingredients to Marinate:
  1. Cauliflower-1 small
  2. Crushed Methi leaves dried-1 tbsp
  3. Turmeric powder- 1/2 sp
  4. Curd-2 tbsp
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Ghee / Butter- 2 tbsp
  • Marinate cleaned gobi (cauliflower) florets with 2-to-5 ingredients for 20 minutes
  • Heat butter or ghee in a pan, stir fry the cauliflower for 5-7 minutes until half done.
  • Keep it aside.
Other Ingredients:
  1. Oil-1tbsp
  2. Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
  3. Onion-1
  4. Tomato puree- of 2 small tomatoes 
  5. Ginger, garlic paste-1tbsp
  6. Green chilly-2nos
  7. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  8. Chilly powder-1tsp
  9. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
  10. Garam masala- ¼ tsp
  11. Salt-to taste
  12. Thick Curd- 1/4 cup
  13. Coriander leaves-few
  •  Heat oil in a pan, splutter cumin seeds.
  • Add onion and green chilli, sauté until brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, sauté until raw smell goes off.
  • Add all the powders one by one followed by the tomato puree.
  • Sauté for 5 minutes and add curd and 1 cup of hot water.
  • Add stir fried cauliflower florets and cook for another 10 minutes until done.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot with the choice of your Roti or Rice.
