Ragi Adai

Ragi or finger millet adai  is a very healthy choice for your breakfast. It can also eat as a snack. We can make the ragi adai in both sweet and savory version. Here I’m making sweet ragi adai with rich and tasty coconut filling.
  1. Ragi flour- 1 ½ cup
  2. Salt-to taste
  3. Boiling water
  4. Coconut grated- ½ cup
  5. Shallots thinly chopped-2 tbsp
  6. Sugar-2tbsp
  7. Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
  • Boil water with salt and add enough boiling water to the ragi flour gradually and make a smooth dough out of it (make the dough after the flour cool a bit).
  • Mix coconut grated with chopped shallots, cumin seeds and sugar.
  • Now divide the ragi flour in to small bowls.
  • Roll the balls in a smooth surface (by greasing with little oil or water) in to a circle.
  • Place a portion of coconut filling in the one half side and cover it with the next half.
  • Stick the edges well with watery hand.
  • Make all the ada’s in this way.
  • Heat a pan and cook the ada in low flame until both sides are cooked well.
