Nan Khatai
Nan Khatai is an authentic Indian sweet egg less cookie that can be easily prepared at home. These soft delicious cookies just melt in your mouth.
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour-1 cup
- Ghee/ Vanaspati- ½ cup
- Powdered sugar- ½ cup
- Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
- Sliced almond- ¼ cup
- Baking powder-a pinch
- Salt-a pinch
Preparation:
- In a bowl add ghee and powdered sugar.
- Beat well with a spoon until creamy.
- Add cardamom powder and sliced almonds.
- Add flour and mix well until fully in corporate. It forma smooth sticky dough.
- Make small balls out of it. Just flatten it (don’t flatten too much).
- Place it in a pre-heated oven (180 c) and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack and serve.
- You can store it in a air-tight container for long use.
