Chicken Patiala

Chicken patiala is a  popular Punjabi dish having delicious creamy chicken gravy with omelette topping. Or you can  roll the chicken gravy inside the omelette. Control the amount of spiciness according to your taste. 
  1. Chicken small pieces- 150 gm
  2. Oil-2 tbsp
  3. Onion-1 large
  4. Tomato puree- ½ cup
  5. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  6. Green chilly-1 large
  7. Turmeric powder- 1/ 2 tsp
  8. Kashmiri chilly powder- 1 ½ tbsp
  9. Kasoori methi-  ½ tsp
  10. Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  11. Coriander leaves chopped-2 tbsp
  12. Fresh cream-2 tbsp
  13. Mozzarella cheese grated-1 tbsp (for garnishing)
  14. Coriander leaves chopped-2 tbsp (for garnishing)
    For making omelette:
    1. Butter-1 tbsp
    2. Eggs-1 large (or making omelette)
    3. Coriander leaves chopped-1tbsp
    4. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
    5. Salt-to taste
    1. Heat butter in a pan; mix egg with coriander leaves, salt and pepper.
    2. Add it in to the pan and make omelette. Cut the omelette to few pieces and keep it aside.
    3. Heat a pan with oil and splutter cumin seeds.
    4. Add onions thinly chopped and sauté until golden brown in color.
    5. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
    6. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, garam masala powder and salt.
    7. Add chicken pieces in to it.
    8. Mix well and cover cooks it for about 15 minutes.(stir occasionally)
    9. Add tomato puree in to and cook for another 10 minutes.
    10. Add kasoori methi and fresh cream; mix well.
    11. Switch of the flame and mix it with chopped omelette pieces.
    12. Add in to serving bowl and sprinkle coriander leaves and the grated mozzarella on top.
    13. Serve hot with the choice of your roti.
