Carrot and Date Smoothie

 The health benefits of carrot and dates are a huge list to mention. This creamy smoothie helps to balance blood sugar and good digestion. Carrots are one of the first baby food and dates are healthy too. Hence it's a kids special healthy treat as well as the adults.
Ingredients:
  1. Baby Carrot-2 no’s
  2. Dates- 8 no’s
  3. Milk-1 ¼ cups
  4. Sugar-to taste
  5. Cardamom powder-a pinch (optional)
Preparation:
  • Soak the pitted dates in ¼ cup of milk for 20 minutes to become soft.
  • Chop or grate the carrots to thin.
  • Cook it with ¼ cup of milk for few minutes until soft (about3-4 minutes
  • Allow to cools down completely.
  • Chill the remaining milk.
  • Add soaked dates along with the milk, carrots, sugar, cardamom powder and remaining milk in a blender.
  • Blend well in to a smooth puree.
  • Add in to serving glasses and enjoy the wonderful healthy drink.
