Mutton Soup

Healthy hot soups are always good for the winter days to warm up and it is also a home remedy for cold and cough. Mutton soup is a hearty meal served along with steamed rice. Choose mutton pieces with more bones in it for making soup.

Ingredients:
  1. Mutton pieces with bone- 250gms
  2. Oil-1 tbsp
  3. Onion-1
  4. Ginger crushed-1 tsp
  5. Garlic crushed-1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  7. Chilly powder- ½ tsp
  8. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  9. Pepper powder- 1 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  11. Salt-to taste
  12. Coriander leaves chopped- 2 tbsp
Preparation:
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker; sauté onions until transparent.
  • Add ginger and garlic crushed. Sauté for a minute.
  • Add all the spice powders along with mutton pieces.
  • Saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of hot water in to it.
  • Pressure cooks in low-medium flame for 15-18 vesicles until the bones become tender and chewy.
  • Open the lid only after the pressure releases completely by itself.

  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve hot!!!
