Curry Leaves Chicken Peralan

 Curry leaves is one of the common ingredient used in most of the Indian dishes. It is used as a seasoning ingredient to enhance the taste and flavor. they are rich source of iron and folic acid. and hence curry leaves is a natural remedy to beat anemia.
         Normally most of the chicken curries used curry leaves for seasoning. But here is a curry leaves dominant chicken recipe which has a wonderful aroma and natural earthy flavor.
  1. Chicken- ½ kg
  2. Oil-1 ½ tbsp
  3. Cinnamon stick-1 inch piece
  4. Onion-2
  5. Ginger, garlic crushed-1tbsp
  6. Curry leaves paste- 1 ½ tsp
  7. Green chilly-1
  8. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  9. Chilly powder-1 tsp
  10.  Coriander powder-1 tsp
  11. Pepper powder-1 tsp
  12. Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  13. Tamarind- 1 small lemon sized
  14. Salt-to taste
  15. Curry leaves-4 spring.
  1. Heat oil in a pan , add cinnamon stick (chopped in to small pieces).
  2. Add onions and sauté until transparent.
  3. Add ginger, garlic and curry leaves crushed. Saute until raw smell goes off.
  4. Add chicken pieces in to it along with all the powders in one by one after mixing well.
  5. Add salt cook covered for 15 minutes (stir occasionally).
  6. Open the lid and add tamarind juice and curry leaves.
  7. Open cook for another 10-15 minutes until chicken pieces are cooked well and gravy dried.
  8. Serve hot with the choice of your roti!!!
