Chicken Majestic

Chicken majestic is one of the popular dishes from Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh. It is a dry chicken dish marinated with Indian spices along with the Chinese blend. Of course a lovely starter for a happy meal. The cooking procedure is slightly like chicken 65 and chilly chicken; but the tastes stands alone. Doing best seasoning is an important part of it's taste. Also marinate chicken for long time makes it more tasty and tender.
  1. Chicken cut in to strips-200 gm
  2. Curd-1 ½ tbsp 
  3. Salt-to taste
  4. Pepper powder-1 tsp
  5. Corn flour-2 tbsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  7. Egg-1
  8. Oil- ½ tsp +for deep frying
For Seasoning:
  1. Oil-2 tbsp
  2. Ginger chopped thinly-1 tbsp
  3. Garlic chopped thinly-1 tbsp
  4. Green chilly slit-3 nos
  5. Curry leaves- 2 spring
  6. Turmeric powder- ¾ tsp
  7. Chilly powder-1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder- 1 ½ tsp
  9. Mint leaves chopped-1 tbsp
  10. Curd- 2 tbsp
  11. Salt-little
  12. Soya sauce-1 tbsp
  13. Lemon juice-1 tbsp
  14. Coriander leaves chopped- 1 tbsp
  • Wash and clean chicken (boneless cut in to length wise) properly.
  • Drain it and dry it with a paper towel to remove the water content in it.
  • Marinate it with 1 ½ tbsp of curd, pepper powder and salt.
  • Keep in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • After that marinate it again with corn flour, egg, ½ tsp of oil and ginger garlic paste.
  • Let it rest for at least 4 hours or overnight (marinating for proper time is important for the chicken to become tender and tasty).
  • Deep fry it in hot oil for only about 3 minutes until both sides are cooked (don’t over fry, the fried chicken pieces are white in color).
  • Drain in to paper towels and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan; add ginger and garlic chopped; sauté until golden in color.
  • Add green chilly and curry leaves.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Mix well in low flame without burning.
  • Add mint leaves chopped and curd.
  • Sauté for a minute until curd gets dried.
  • Add soya sauce and fried chicken pieces.
  • Mix well for a minute.
  • Sprinkle lemon juice and coriander leaves chopped on top.
  • Well..That’s it..Switch off the flame and serve hot.
