Wheat Roti

Basically we all used to make wheat chapathi at home often and get bored about it. Here is another wheat roti recipe which tastes great and easy to follow
Ingredients:
  1. Wheat flour-2 cup
  2. Shallots thinly sliced- ¼ cup
  3. Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
  4. Coconut grated- ¾ cup
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Boiling water
Preparation:
  • Mix wheat flour with cumin seeds,salt, coconut grated and shallots chopped.
  • Add boiling water gradually, enough to make smooth dough (after adding boiling water; don’t wait for much time to cools down, knead the dough even it is hot; that can manage with your hands).
  • You can’t able to roll the dough; because it’s in a smooth broken consistency. So grease your both hands with oil or water itself.
  • Divide the dough in to equal balls (double the size of chapathi balls; wheat roti is in a thick form).
  • Take a ball and flatten it by using your hands (or use a greased foil surface or banana leaf).
  • Heat a pan and add the roti; flatten it more by placing after the hot tawa (take care of burning)
  • Cook on both sides in a low flame until both sides are golden in color and cooked well.
  • Serve hot with thick salted coconut milk or the choice of your curry.
