Pineapple Custard Pudding

 Custard and pineapple together forms a wonderful light dessert than can make quickly with fewer ingredients. The sweetened pineapple chunks are layered in the bottom and pour the custard sauce over it.

  1. Pineapple-1 medium
  2. Milk-600 ml
  3. Chinagrass-1 pack
  4. Custard powder-1tsp
  5. Sugar-2tbsp
  6. Milk maid-1 tin
  7. Vanilla extract- ½ tsp
  8. Crushed nuts-few
  • Cut the pineapple in to small pieces.
  • Cook it with 2tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of water until soft (but not mashed) and all the water gets absorbed.
  • Keep it aside to cool. Line it in the bottom of the pudding tray.
  • Soak china grass pieces in water for 20 minutes. (You can use 1 tbsp of gelatin instead of china grass)
  • Melt it with ¼ cup of water in a pan by stirring continuously.
  • Mean while boil milk in another pan with condensed milk and vanilla extract in it; when it boils,  add a teaspoon of custard powder by diluting with 1 tbsp of water (paste form). Stir continuously without forming any for few minutes..
  • When the china grass melts completely and both of the pan reaches the same temperature; pour milk mixture in to china grass melted, slowly and mix well in low temperature for 30 seconds.
  • Switch off the flame and pour it over the pineapple chunks evenly.
  • Add crushed nuts on top to decorate.
  • Keep in fridge for 4 hours to set.
  • Cut in to pieces and serve cold!!
