Chicken Kofta Kebab

Chicken kofta kebabs are made with minced chicken pieces marinated in unique preparation of yoghurt and spices. It is one of the most flavorful and aromatic Indian appetizer. They are a great addition to a buffet table idea. Usually it is cooked in the oven or grill; but here is a simple easy method to make it in the pan on stove top.

  1. Ground Chicken-500g
  2. Garlic paste -1tsp
  3. Ginger paste-1tsp
  4. Green chilly paste-1tsp
  5. Pepper powder-1tsp
  6. Chilly powder- ½ tsp (optional)
  7. Cumin powder-1tsp
  8. Coriander powder-1tsp
  9. Garam masala powder- ¼ tsp
  10. Yoghurt-3tbsp
  11. Lemon juice- ½ tsp
  12. Corn flour- ¼ cup
  13. Salt- to taste
  14. Thinly chopped coriander leaves- 1 ½ tbsp
Other Ingredients:
  1. Bamboo skewers-few
  2. Oil-for frying
  • Mix ground chicken with all other ingredients and keep it in fridge for at least 1 hour. (if you don’t have ground chicken; take chicken bone less pieces; put it in a blender and mince well.)
  • Soak bamboo skewers in warm water for 20 minutes to prevent drying.
  • After 1 hour apply chicken mix on the bamboo skewers in the kofta shape. Before that Apply some water in your hands properly; otherwise the chicken get sticks on your hand and you can’t thread the kofta properly on sticks.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add these skewers; cook it on low flame until both sides are cooked and golden in color. (Pan Grill is better).
  • Drain in to paper towels and serve hot!!!
