Beef Chukka
Beef chukka is one of the tasty beef preparations that goes
well with ghee rice, chapathi and any flat breads. Here is the simple
recipe.
Ingredients:- Beef – ½ kg
- Onion-2 nos
- Tomato-1
- Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
- Green chilly-1
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Chilly powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder-2tsp
- Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
- Pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Oil-1tbsp
- Oil-1tbsp
- Dry red chilly- 6 nos
- Curry leaves-3 springs
- Garam masala- ½ tsp
- Pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onions and sauté until transparent.
- Add ginger garlic paste and green chilly, sauté for a minute.
- Add all the powders one by one in a low flame by mixing well after each addition.
- Add tomato pieces and sauté until mashed well.
- Add cubed beef pieces along with little water and salt.
- Cook on high flame for 1 whistle and after that, cook on low flame for another 20 minutes or until done.
- Allow the pressure to release itself .
- Dry roast the red chillies for a minute and crush it.
- Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot make the flame to low.
- Add crushed dry red chilly, garam masala, pepper powder and curry leaves.
- Add the cooked beef in to it and cook on high flame until all the water content in it gets absorbed.
- Stir for another 10-15 minutes until thickens and the beef gets a nice dark color.
