Beef Chukka

Beef chukka is one of the tasty beef preparations that goes well with ghee rice, chapathi and any flat breads. Here is the simple recipe.
Ingredients:
  1. Beef – ½ kg
  2. Onion-2 nos
  3. Tomato-1
  4. Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
  5. Green chilly-1
  6. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  7.  Chilly powder-1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder-2tsp
  9. Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
  10. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
  11. Salt-to taste
  12. Oil-1tbsp
For seasoning:
  1. Oil-1tbsp
  2. Dry red chilly- 6 nos
  3. Curry leaves-3 springs
  4. Garam masala- ½ tsp
  5. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
Preparation:
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onions and sauté until transparent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and green chilly, sauté for a minute.
  • Add all the powders one by one in a low flame by mixing well after each addition.
  • Add tomato pieces and sauté until mashed well.
  • Add cubed beef pieces along with little water and salt.
  • Cook on high flame for 1 whistle and after that, cook on low flame for another 20 minutes or until done.
  • Allow the pressure to release itself .
  • Dry roast the red chillies for a minute and crush it.
  • Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot make the flame to low.
  • Add crushed dry red chilly, garam masala, pepper powder and curry leaves.
  • Add the cooked beef in to it and cook on high flame until all the water content in it gets absorbed.
  • Stir for another 10-15 minutes until thickens and the beef gets a nice dark color.
  • Serve hot with the choice of your rice or roti!!
