Egg Kulcha

Kulcha is South Indian famous breakfast bread. It actually make in tandoor. but here I make it in the stovetop. It is really awesome and give homemade satisfaction. Kulcha can be made plain or stuffed.We all love it if there is something favorite filling inside in it. Here is the stuffed egg kulcha recipe.

For Egg Masala:
  1. Eggs-2
  2. Onion-1
  3. Crushed garlic-3 cloves big
  4. Coriander leaves chopped-2tbsp
  5. Pepper powder- ¾ tsp
  6. Salt-to taste
  7. Oil-1tsp
  8. Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
For Kulcha:
  1. Flour / maida- 2 cups (or wheat flour)
  2. Baking soda- ¼ tsp
  3. Salt-to taste
  4. Milk-2tbsp
  5. Yoghurt-2tbsp
  6. butter
Preparation:
  • Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds.
  • Add extra  thinly chopped onion and sauté for a minute.
  • Add crushed garlic and sauté.
  • Add eggs, salt and pepper powder.
  • Mix well until egg crumbs cooked well and switch off the flame.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves in it.
  • Now the egg masala is ready, divide it in to 6 parts and keep it aside.
  • Sieve flour, salt and baking soda in to a large bowl.
  • Add yoghurt, and mix well.
  • Add sufficient water little by little to make a soft and smooth dough.
  • Let it rest for 20 miutes.
  • Divide it in to 6 equal bowls.
  • Take a ball from it and roll the dough in to a small circle as I done for my aloo paratha.
  • Add a portion of egg masala on centre of the circle.
  • Again make a ball with the rolled circle  by covering all the egg masala in it.
  • Now sprinkle some flour on the rolling surface.
  • Roll the stuffed ball slowly and make a big circle.
  • Put it on top of the heated tawa and cook until both sides are golden brown in color.
  • Spread a teaspoon of butter on top of it.
  • Do the same process for remaining balls and egg masala.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!!
