Classic Sugar Cookies



 Sugar cookies are the sweet blend of butter, flour and sugar. The classic sugar cookies are great for a holiday. Snack. They are little crunchy and at the same time soft in inside. These tiny cookies are extremely great to serve for the kids and adults.

Ingredients:
  1. All purpose flour / maida- 2 cups
  2. Sugar- 1cup
  3. Butter-1cup
  4. Egg-1
  5. Milk- ½ cup
  6. Vanilla essence- ½ tsp
  7. Salt- a pinch
  8. Cardamom powder- a pinch
  9. Baking powder-1tsp
Preparation:
  • Sift all dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, cardamom powder and baking powder.
  • Add butter and mix thoroughly.
  • Beat eggs separately and add in to flour mixture gradually.
  • Also add milk and vanilla essence.
  • Knead the dough well in to an extra smooth consistency ball.
  • Wrap it with a cling wrap or foil and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven in to 350 degrees and grease the baking tray.
  • Take the dough and make small one inch balls out of it.
  • Flatten it with your greasy hand without foaming any cracks in the flatten cookie shaped dough.
  • Arrange it on the baking rack.
  • Bake it for 8 minutes until cookies become firm and soft.
  • Cool and serve.
  • Store it in an airtight container for long use.
