Chicken Curd Roast

Chicken curd roast is a delicious roast which goes very well with any roti or rice.Everyone loves it’s flavor and the simple yummy chicken curd roast recipe.
Ingredients:
To marinate:
  1. Chicken cubed small-500gm
  2. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  3. Kashmiri chilly powder-1tsp
  4. Salt-to taste
  5. Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
  6. Oil- for frying
Other ingredients:
  1. Onion-1big
  2. Garlic chopped-1tbsp
  3. Ginger chopped-1tbsp
  4. Green chilly chopped-1
  5. Tomato-1small
  6. Curd-1cup
  7. Curry leaves-2string
  8. Kashmiri chilly powder- 1tsp
  9. Pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  11. Garam masala- 1/4 tsp
  12. Salt-to taste
  13. coriander leaves-few
Preparation:
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients under marination for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in  a pan and fry the chicken pieces on medium high heat.
  • Fry until it gets cooked and brown in color. don't over fry; just need to gets colored.
  • Take the chicken pieces in to a serving dish and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil add chopped ginger garlic and green chilly,
  • Sauté until the raw smell goes off and gets a nice aroma of ginger and garlic.
  • Add curry leaves and chopped onion.
  • Sauté for a minute and add all the powders one by one and mix well.
  • Add chopped tomato and sauté until mashed well.
  • Add curd in to it and sauté until the curd completely dried with the gravy (10-15 minutes).
  • Add fried chicken pieces in to it and mix well for another 6 minutes.
  • Check the salt and switch off the flame.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and chopped onion on top of it.

  1. I came across this thanks to a friend sharing this link on FB. It immediately caught my attention & I tried it the very same day. It came out really well & my family loved it. The only down side was that since this recipe was for 400 gms chicken & I was cooking 1 kg; I almost doubled all the ingredients (not proportionate) but it ended up being too hot (spicy). But that is a minor thing that I can definitely correct next time.

    Thanks for sharing such wonderful recipes. When I saw that there were no comments, I felt really bad that people like us take what you have to offer but never say a word of appreciation for the work you do. Hence my post. I have now found a great source of interesting recipes! Keep up the good work.

    I came across this recipe in FB.. My husband is pure chicke-etarian.. I surprised him and his younger brother with this recipe.. N Bingo.. Mil got jealous.. Lol.. Though quantity was more compared to the post.. Thanks a ton for the best and easy chicken recipe..
