Banana and Dates Cake

 Banana and dates cake is a rich healthy moist cake. The sweetness comes from banana and dates itself; so that there is no need to add much more sugar. You can vomit the sugar completely if you concern healthier. Wheat flour is used for making this cake; it has almost four times more fiber than all purpose flour. Hence it’s a must try pretty amazing cake.

  1. Wheat flour- ¾ cup
  2. Banana-1
  3. Date syrup-3tbsp (or use dates pulp)
  4. Dates chopped thinly- ¼ cup
  5. Milk- ¼ cup
  6. Oil- ¼ cup
  7. Baking powder- ½ tsp
  8. Baking soda- ¼ tsp
  9. Salt- a pinch
  10. Mixed nuts chopped- 3tbsp
  11. Sugar-3tbsp
  12. Vanilla essence- ½ tsp
  • Mix wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl together.
  • Mix dates chopped and dry fruits in a bowl and add a teaspoon of wheat flour in to it; mix well and sieve the excess flour.
  • Keep all ingredients nearby.
  • Grease a baking loaf tray with some oil and dust it with wheat flour.
  • Pre heat the oven for 6 minutes.
  • In another bowl add chopped banana pieces, sugar, vanilla essence and dates syrup.
  • Beat well with a hand mixer until the banana pieces mashed well without any lumps in it.
  • Add milk, oil and wheat flour alternatively in to this by three additions on each.
  • Fold it slowly until all the mixture gets completely incorporated.
  • End up the folding with flour mixture.
  • Add ¾ th of the mixed dates and nut mixture in to the cake batter and slowly fold it.
  • Quickly add the batter in to the baking tray and spread the remaining dates and nut on top of it evenly.
  • Bake it in the oven at 180 degree for 30-35 minutes until a skewer is inserted in the middle of the cake and its comes out clean.
