Beef Dry Fry

Beef dry fry  is a popular South Indian beef preparation. It served along with parotta, appam, pathiri, chappathi, and ghee rice. It tastes well, when its spicy. 

Ingredients:
  1. Beef- ½ kg
  2. Oil-3tbsp
  3. Coconut pieces-2tbsp
  4. Whole garam masala pieces-few (cardamom, cinnamon, cloves)
  5. Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
  6. Green chilly-2
  7. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  8. Chilly powder-2tsp
  9. Garam masala-1tsp
  10. Coriander powder-1tsp
  11. Fennel powder- ½tsp
  12. Pepper powder-2tsp
  13. Curry leaves-2string
  14. Coriander leaves-few
Preparation:
  • Marinate the beef cubes with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of chilly powder/ ½ tsp of pepper powder 1tsp of ginger garlic paste and salt.
  • Pressure cooks it with little water until nicely cooked.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add whole coconut pieces and whole garama masala pieces.
  • Saute until coconut pieces are brown in color.
  • Add onion and sauté until golden in color.
  • Add curry leaves, green chilly and remaining ginger garlic paste.
  • Sauté until raw smell goes off.
  • Add all the remaining powders in low flame and mix well.
  • Add the cooked beef in to it; slow cook (for about 15-20 minutes) until the beef gets black in colour and coated well with masala powders.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves on top.
