Basic Sponge Cake

This is a simple, light sponge cake recipe that can be made in no time at all. There is nothing much more in this sponge cake, so you have to done a better frosting. Make a fluffy filling with whip cream or cream cheese frosting.Here the measurement of ingredients is in a pictorial way.
  • Take three equal sized glasses.
  • In first glass crack 3 eggs (for large cake use 4 to 6 eggs)+ 1/4 tsp of vanilla essence.
  • In second glass take, sugar as the same level of first glass
  • In third glass take 1/2 tsp baking powder+flour as the same level of other two glasses (for cocoa cake take 2bsp of cocoa powder+1/2 tsp of baking powder and the remaining glass level fill with flour)
  • Sieve maida and baking powder twice.
  • Powder the sugar.
  • Beat eggs+vanilla essence and sugar until fluffy and creamy.
  • Fold it with flour by 3 additions.
  • Pour it in to a greased (with butter and flour) pan.
  • Bake it in a 180 d preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. (for 6 eggs 35-40 minutes).
  • Detach after completely cools down.
