Kothu Porotta

Kothu porotta is a famous South Indian street food. It is cooked with leftover parotta minced with meat or vegetable. Here chicken is used to cook and you can replace it with any other meat, egg or even vegetables.
  1. Porotta-4nos
  2. Chicken boneless cubed-250gm
  3. Oil-1tbsp
  4. Curry leaves-1string
  5. Onion-1big
  6. Ginger thinly chopped-1tbsp
  7. Tomato-1small
  8. Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  9. Chilly powder-1/2tsp
  10. Coriander powder-1tsp
  11. Pepper powder-1/2tsp
  12. Garam masala-1/2tsp
  13. Salt-to taste
  14. Coriander leaves-few
  • Cook chicken pieces with little water, turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute onion until transparent.
  • Add ginger and green chilly; saute well.
  • Add all the powders one by one and mix well at low flame.
  • Add toamato pieces in to it and saute well until tomato pieces are mashed well.
  • Add cooked chicken pieces along with its stock in to the pan.
  • Add chopped parotta pieces in to and mix well for 2 minutes or until completely dries off.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and enjoy the taste!!!
