Gobi Manjurian Gravy

 Gobi Manjurian is a delicious Indo-Chinese sweet and spicy starter. I have already tried the Gobi Manjurian Dry version. Here is another method of preparation with little gravy in it.
 
Ingredients for Marinating:
 
Cauliflower-1small
pepper powder-1tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder-1sp
Cornflour-1cup
maida-1/2cup
Salt-to taste

Ingredients for Masala:
  1. Oil-for frying
  2. Onion-1big
  3. Ginger-1tbsp(chopped small)
  4. Garlic-1tbsp(chopped small)
  5. Greenchilli-1tsp(chopped small)
  6. chilly powder-1tsp
  7. Sugar-1/2 tsp.
  8. vinegar- 1/2 tsp
  9. Tomato sauce-1tb
  10. Chilly sauce-1/2tb
  11. Soya sauce-1tb
  12. Corn flour-1tb
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Spring onion/capsicum-few
  15. Coriander leaves-few(optional)
PREPARATION:
  • Soak the cauliflower petals in warm water by adding little turmeric powder in it for 15minutes.
  • Make a thick batter of marination with the ingredients under marinating.

  • Mix the cauliflower in it and deep fry it in the hot oil until both sides are done.

  • For making the sauce; heat a tablespoon of oil.
  • Add chopped ginger, garlic and green chilly.
  • Add chilly powder in to it.
  • Add sugar and thinly chopped onion; sauté for a minute.
  • Add vinegar mixed with all the sauces.
  • Add little salt and fried cauliflower; mix well.
  • Add cornflour dilute with 1cup of water in to it.
  • Switch off the flame when the gravy starts to thicken.
  • Sprinkle capsicum/ spring onion and coriander leaves on top of it.
