Ginger Chicken

Ginger chicken is an aromatic and nice chicken gravy which goes very well with fried rice and roti. Everyone loves the flavor of ginger and the simple yummy ginger chicken roast recipe.

Ingredients:
To marinate:
  1. Chicken cubed small-500gm
  2. Kashmiri chilly powder-1tsp
  3. Vinegar-1tbtsp
  4. Soya sauce-1tsp
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Ginger paste-1tsp
  7. Oil- 1/4 cup
Other ingredients:
  1. Onion-1chopped thin cubes
  2. Garlic chopped-1tbsp
  3. Ginger chopped-2tbsp
  4. Green chilly chopped-1
  5. Curry leaves-2string
  6. Chilly powder-1tsp
  7. Pepper powder-1tsp
  8. Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  9. Salt-to taste
  10. Tomato ketchup- 1/4 cup
Preparation:
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients under marination for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in  a pan and fry the chicken pieces on medium high heat.
  • Fry until it gets cooked and brown in color. don't over fry; just need to gets colored.
  • Take the chicken pieces in to a serving dish and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil add chopped ginger garlic and green chilly,
  • Sauté until the raw smell goes off and gets a nice aroma of ginger and garlic.
  • Add curry leaves and chopped onion.
  • Sauté for a minute and add all the powders one by one and mix well.
  • Add cooked chicken pieces in to it and mix well.
  • Saute well for another 7-10 minutes until the chicken pieces are coated well with the onion masala.
  • Add tomato ketchup and mix well for a minute.
  • switch off the flame and serve hot.
