Easy Bread and Jam Pudding

Bread pudding is one of the easiest and tasty pudding choice for all. In this way the left over breads can easily be converted in to a dessert with not much effort. Bread is soaked in rich custard like eggs, milk and butter and bakes it for few minutes.
  1. Bread slices-4
  2. Milk-200ml
  3. Large egg-2
  4. Milkmaid- ¼ tin (as per taste)
  5. Jam- 2tbsp
  6. Butter-3tbsp
  7. Vanilla essence- ¼tsp
  8. Nuts and raisins chopped-few
  • Cut the edges of the bread and spread the jam in to pieces of bread.
  • Cover it with another two pieces of bread like sandwich.
  • Now cut the sandwiches in to small cubes.
  • Arrange it in the greased (with butter) pudding tray.
  • Boil milk with milkmaid.
  • When it boils switch off the flame and add butter, vanilla essence in to it.
  • Allow to cool completely.
  • Beat two eggs until fluffy.
  • Fold it with the cold milk mixture.
  • Now pour this over the bread cubes evenly.
  • Give a gentle press with the spoon; so that all the bread pieces fully soaked in milk.
  • Rest it for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts and raisins on top.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 180c.
  • Allow to cool completely.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve cool.
