White Forest Cake

white forest cake pastry is rich with spongy yummy cake, white chocolate shavings, sugar syrup and whip cream. The sponge cake becomes very moist when we apply sugar syrup in it. Here is the simple recipe of delicious white forest pastry cake. 
Ingredients:
  1. Maida/All purpose flour-11/2 cup
  2. Baking powder-1tsp
  3. Baking soda-1/4tsp
  4. Salt-a pinch
  5. Egg-2
  6. Powdered sugar-1cup
  7. Milk-1/2cup
  8. Oil-1/2cup
  9. Vanilla essence/pineapple essence-1/2tsp
For frosting:
  1. Whip cream powder-1pack
  2. Milk-150ml
  3. Vanilla essence-1/4tsp
For sugar syrup:
  1. Water-4tbsp
  2. Sugar-3tbsp
  3. Thinly sliced cherry-2tsp.
  • Boil all these above ingredients for 5-minutes. keep aside to cool completely.
Other ingredients:
  1. White chocolate-100gm
  2. Dried Coconut scraps-few
  3. Almond slices
  4. Cherries
Preparation:
  • Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt twice and keep aside.
  • In a large bowl beat eggs until fluffy.
  • Add powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Add oil and milk slowly by 3 additions.
  • Add vanilla essence.
  • Now add the flour mixture with a metal spoon and fold it completely by 3 additions.
  • The batter should be not too thick but in the  pouring consistency.
  • Grease the cake tin with oil and flour.
  • If you are putting it in the oven, bake it for 40-45 minutes in the pre-heated oven
  • In cooker mode put a stand on the cooker and place the cake tin above it.
  • Pour the batter in to the cake tin and close the lid of the cooker by removing the whistle and gasket.
  • Slow cook it for 35-40 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean.
  • Remold the cake only after cools down completely.

For decorating cake
  • Beat whipping powder by adding milk and vannila essence.(put the bowl of whipping on the top of ice cubes when beating inorder to get fluffy thick cream.)
  • Cut the cake in to two equal circles.
  • With a fork make some holes on thr cakes.
  • Spread sugar syrup evenly on top of each piece.
  • When it absorbs fully apply the whipping cream on top of the cake pieces and all the sides evenly.
  • Sprinkle grated chocolates and coconut scrapson top of it.
  • Decorate with whip cream and cherries.
  • put the slices of badam on the sides of the cake.
  • refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
