Sheer khurma / Vermicelli Pudding

 

 Sheer khurma is a festive recipe prepared by muslims on Eid. it is prepared with vermicelli, milk and dates. It is amazingly easy and a splendid dessert.


Ingredients:
  1. Milk-1litre
  2. Vermicelli / seviyan-100gm
  3. Ghee-2tbsp
  4. Dry fruits sliced- ½ cup (almond, cashew, pistachio, mango, raisins)
  5. Dates chopped- ¼ cup
  6. Condensed milk / evaporated milk – ½ tin
  7. Sugar- ½ cup (as per taste)
  8. Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
Preparation:
  • In a sauce pan, add ghee and roast cashew and raisins.
  • If need roast almond, pistachio and dates also.
  • Keep it aside and in the remaining ghee roast the broken vermicelli.
  • In another bowl, boil milk.
  • Add sugar, condensed milk, and vermicelli.
  • Cook on low flame till the vermicelli become soft.
  • Add dry fruits in to it (keep some for sprinkling on top).
  • Lastly add cardamom powder, stir well and switch off the flame.
  • Garnish it with nuts on top.
  • Serve it hot or cold as per your taste and enjoy!!
