Neer Dosa

 Neer dosa is a fluffy, thin and lacy crepes made with rice batter. It’s simply delightful and one of the quick breakfast choices. You can makes it only with raw rice, but adding coconut or cooked rice in to it makes it tastier.

  1. Raw rice-1cup
  2. Cooked rice or coconut- ½ cup (optional)
  3. Water
  4. Salt
  • Soak the raw rice in water for 4 hours or an overnight.
  • Grind it with adding enough water (add coconut or cooked rice if using) in to a smooth batter without having any lumps.
  • Add more water and salt in to it.(no need to ferment the batter, just start making dosa when you grind it).
  • The dosa batter should be very thin consistency as like milk.
  • In an iron pan or non stick pan drizzle ½ tsp of oil.
  • Stir well the dosa batter before making each dosa.
  • Stir a ladle of batter in to the pan, pour it from outwards to inwards just like sprinkling.
  • Do not spread the batter, but fill all the gaps with some batter in it.
  • Cover cooks it on medium flame until it separates from the pan (once it cooked, it starts to separate from the sides of the pan.).
  • No need to flip the other side.
  • Make all the dosa in this way and put add it in to the plates without touching each other.
  • After cools down, serve it with chutney or curry.
