Easy Swiss Roll Recipe

Swiss roll is one of the easiest cake preparations. It is very fun to make. It takes only 10 minutes for the whole preparation. All the children’s will surely love this preparation. We can use whip cream, butter cream, chocolate spread, jam or nutella to fill the Swiss roll according to your taste. 
  1. Egg-2
  2. Flour / maida-2tbsp
  3. Powdered sugar-2tbsp
  4. Baking powder- ¼ tsp
  5. Vanilla essence-1/4tsp
  6. Butter/oil-1tbsp
  7. Mixed fruit jam- ¼ cup
  • Beat egg and powdered sugar until fluffy and creamy.
  • Add vanilla essence in to it.
  • Fold maida and baking powder in to (or beat in a slow mode).
  • Heat butter in a non stick flat pan.
  • Pour the mixture in to it.
  • Cook covered in a low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Carefully take this in to a soft cloth and cover it for 5 minute.
  • Spread the jam carefully over the cake (do not crack the cake.).
  • Now roll it slowly; sprinkle some icing sugar on top.
  • Cover it with a cling wrap and rest for 15 minutes (you can refrigerate also).
  • Cut in to pieces and enjoy with a cup of coffee!!!!
If you want to make chocolate swiss roll add a teaspoon of coco powder and reduce 1tsp of flour from these ingredients.
