Mango Kheer

Mango kheer is a delicious mango dessert that can be made with basmati rice and mango pulp. basmati rice can be replaced with vermicelli or sabudana. Its very easy to prepare and suitable for a hot summer season.

  1. Mango pulp- of 2 big mangoes
  2. Basmati rice-1/4 cup
  3. Milk-4cup
  4. water-2cup
  5. Sugar-to taste
  6. Cardamom powder-1/4tsp
  7. Pistachio,badam-to garnish
  1. wash and drain the basmati rice, cook the rice with 2cup of water and 1cup of milk.
  2. When it becomes cooked well and reaches to absorbs all the water, add the remaining milk and sugar.
  3. Boil well and when it starts to thicken switch off the flame.
  4. Let it cools down completely.
  5. Peel the skin of mangoes and puree the pulp without adding water.
  6. Add it in to the kheer along with cardamom powder.
  7. Decorate on top with sliced pistachio and badam.
  8. Serve chilled.
