Tapioca Cake

Tapioca cake is a simple and tasty authentic recipe. Even it is baked it has a texture of steaming cake. Only few ingredients are needed to make this recipe. If banana leaf is used instead of butter paper for baking, it will be nicer flavor.
  1. Tapioca peeled and grated-500g
  2. Sugar-1cup
  3. Coconut grated-2tbsp
  4. Egg-1
  5. Vanilla essence- ½ tsp
  6. Thick coconut milk-200ml
  7. Evaporated milk or water-70ml
  • Preheat the oven in 180 degree.
  • Squeeze the grated tapioca and keep the excess liquid.
  • Combine all the ingredients (including tapioca starch) well with a hand mixer in a bowl.
  • Grease the pan with oil or butter paper.
  • Bake for 30 minutes and top grill for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely before cutting.
